Y. Srilakshmi

Yerra Srilakshmi is a suspended senior officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) accused of corruption related to illegal mining in India. Srilakshmi was former Andhra Pradesh Secretary for Industries (including mining).
==Arrest due to alleged involvement in OMC illegal mining==
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested V. D. Rajagopal and Y. Srilakshmi, as third and fourth accused respectively in the investigation into illegal mining by Obulapuram Mining Company.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title= Sri Lakshmi arrested in illegal mining case )〕〔(【引用サイトリンク】title= Rajagopal has role in 'benami' mining: CBI )〕〔(【引用サイトリンク】title= Srilakshmi sent to Chanchalguda jail )〕〔(【引用サイトリンク】title= Rajagopal, Sri Lakshmi accused of fraud )〕 The permission for mining in Anantapur was for captive mining, i.e. the ore mined in that region is to be used in the local steel plant and not to be exported. Srilakshmi is accused of dropping the term "captive mining" in the final order approving a mining license to Obulapuram. Srilakshmi suggested that this was done at the insistence of the former Minister of Mines and current Andhra Pradesh Home minister Sabitha Indra Reddy.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Srilakshmi blames Sabita )〕〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Sabitha listed as witness in OMC charge sheet )〕 However the CBI defended the Home minister, who is a senior local politician of the ruling Congress party.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=CBI defends Sabita )〕 She was suspended from the IAS after 48 hours of police custody.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title= Government suspends Srilakshmi )〕 She received conditional bail on 2 December 2011.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title= IAS officer Srilakshmi granted bail )〕 The Andhra Pradesh High Court cancelled bail on 2 Jan 2012 and Srilakshmi was taken into judicial custody.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title= HC cancels Srilakshmi's bail )〕〔(【引用サイトリンク】title= Illegal mining case: A.P. High Court cancels Srilakshmi’s bail )〕 Srilakshmi was again granted interim bail on 9 October 2012 till 20 January 2013 with Rs. 50,000 bond.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Conditional bail for Y srilakshami from 9 Oct 2012 to 20 Jan 2013 )
